El Rincón estate (Aldea del Fresno, D.O. Vinos de Madrid), at no more than 54km southwest of the capital, was acquired by Mr. José Manzanedo, first Marques of Manzanedo and Duke of Santoña, who built an important palace surrounding it with gardens in 1850. His vineyard of Garnacha Tinta y Tintorera reached an area of over 100 ha in the 19th century although it was progressively pulled-up in the mid-20th century. In 1994 Carlos Falcó inherited the property from his aunt Paloma Falcó, Marquesa of Manzanedo, making it his main residence in 1999.

In 2000-2001 a vineyard was planted with 8 ha of Syrah (2000) and 1 ha of Garnacha (2001), conditioning a small climatised winery in 2002, date of the first El Rincón vintage, a wine combining 88% Syrah and 12% Garnacha.

Both districts share an operational philosophy based on quality, innovation and respecting the soil characteristics of each estate.
